It has been more than a week since I first came to Purdue University Calumet. I thought it would be tough until I got the university village and met my roommates and other students from China.
My roommates have been here for at least half a year and are very familiar with this region. They offered me a lot of help. With their help I know where the classrooms are, where I could buy cheap food, how I can order a school bus. There’re many new students here. We often cook and travel together.
I think a family is a group in which we can feel warm and happiness. I hope our relationship can stay long.

There must be some difficute times when you first get here. Carry on, and you can make it. We all trust u.
yeah, though we are new, I think it's not difficult to adapt the living and studying environment here, especially we have so many friendly people and whenever you have a problem, friends are always willing to help you.so do I. I hope we all will have a wonderful journey in studying here.
Here, friends means a family. That's ture. A Chinese saying goes, it's parents to rely on at home, friens outside. However, the siduation is different now because we are not in China anymore, we need to be more dependent and we all can make it.
Shadow,
I am glad that you have quickly made helpful friends! I lived alone in a new city before, and it scared me. It must be twice as difficult for you because this is a new country as well.
Shadow, do not be in shadow.
Look upward.
The sun light is crossing the cloud.
Everyone has a shadow.
Go towards the sun.
Let the shadow behind you forever.
