The life magazine cover I like

This cover presents us the black and white picture of a sailor kissing a nurse on the street. It was after the war and the sailors went back home from battle. The sailor and the nurse were strangers. They kissed because they were both excited that the war was over.
I like this picture because it shows love and peace in it. War is a disaster to human beings. Those who returned alive from wars are heros. Nurses were in the battle to save soldiers' lifes. They were in the most dangerous position in the war. Once the war was over, they were the happiest people I think.
The photographer was close to the sailor and the nurse. It made the photo vivid to us. The dress, the pose and the audiences' faces...everything made this photo classic.

How does Technology Influence Me

Every morning, I'm waken up by the alarm clock.
I get up and turn on my laptop as well as my cell phone.
When I finish washing, I check my e-mail.
Then I go to classes which may be given in the forms of vedio, powerpoint, etc.
Sometimes, the teacher will ask us to go to the computer lab and do research on the internet.
At lunch time, I buy my meal with my bank card.
After school, I come back to dorm, use instant messager to chat with my friends.
I also do my homework with my laptop.
My friends may call me or text messaging me if they need something or just want to chat.
When I try to sleep at night, I listen to my ipod.
I can not live without technology.

Food

Talking about food, what kind of food comes up to your mind first? Some may say Chinese food, some may prefer French food, and others may like American, Japanese, Korean food and so on.
There are too much to say about delicious food. But the only type I want to mention here is the food my parents make. My father can cook better than my mother. He’s very proud of his cooking, especially the sweet-and-sour spareribs. It is really tasty. When I went back home from my college in Nanjing, he would always buy the best meat in the market and make the sweet-and-sour spareribs for me. My mother can make simple meal. But she’s good at inventing. If she has time, she’ll make some strange meal for me.
However, they are used to be very busy. There’s so little time that they hardly make meals by themselves now. I didn’t mind because when I was in China, I ate a little even those they cooked. But now I do want to have a meal which is made by them.
When I go back this summer, I’ll prepare meal with them, since now I can cook by myself.
